The Complaints Response and Information Service (CRIS) allows seniors, their families, and retirement home residents to learn about retirement homes in Ontario, and resolve complaints.
Through funding provided by the Seniors’ Secretariat, the Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA) established this province-wide service in October, 2000.
By calling 1-800-361-7254 (toll-free), you can receive up-to-date information about the full range of service and accommodation options, or get help to resolve a complaint about any retirement home in Ontario.
Visit the ORCA Website for information about the Complaints Response and Information Service, and a listing of the type and frequency of unresolved complaints against any retirement home.
ORCA’s Complaints Response and Information Service complements the ongoing role of municipalities to ensure that retirement homes meet provincial standards for public health, fire and building safety.
