Art Gallery of OntarioAGO Public Opening

On Friday, November 14, the fully-transformed Art Gallery of Ontario opened its doors to the public.

The Transformed Art Gallery of Ontario is Toronto native Frank Gehry’s most recent building, and his first in Canada. Hallmarks of his AGO design include dramatic sculptural staircases, the warmth of Douglas fir, and the extensive use of glass to infuse the galleries with natural light and connect the city and the Gallery in provocative new ways.

A Boost for Hamilton's Art Community


Culture Minister Aileen Carroll visited the Golden Horseshoe on July 17 to announce investments in several regional arts projects, including three art programs in downtown Hamilton and the new Earth Art exhibit at the Royal Botanical Gardens.
