The Programs and Services Branch of the Ministry of Culture maintains statistics on public libraries in Ontario. These statistics are compiled using data from the Annual Survey of Public Libraries.

Deadline for libraries and local services boards is March 31, 2008.

Deadline for First Nations libraries is June 30, 2008.

Deadline for municipalities and local services boards is March 31, 2008.

Deadline for First Nations bands is June 30, 2008.

The results of the survey, which covers a wide range of topics from holdings to library use, are compiled and published each year.

A typical week sample survey is attached to the statistics for each corresponding year.
