Ontario Library Service - The Ontario Library Service is a combination of the Ontario Library Service - North(OLS - North) and the Southern Ontario Library Service (SOLS) and are non-scheduled agencies of the Ministry of Culture. On behalf of the ministry, OLS - North and SOLS provide a wide range of support services to public libraries throughout northern and southern Ontario, excluding Metropolitan Toronto. Their mandate is to deliver programs and services on behalf of the Minister by increasing co-operation and co-ordination among public library boards and other information providers, and to promote the provision of library services to the public by assisting public library boards with services and programs that reflect their needs, including consulting, training and development services.
