Ontario Public Library Week 2009

October 18th to 24th

Ontario Public Library Week takes place October 18th to 24th as a way to recognize the important contribution Ontario's public libraries make to education, literacy, and life-long learning in Ontario's communities.

Laura Albanese, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Culture, helped launch the week's celebrations at the Weston Branch of the Toronto Public Library and announced the short list of finalists for the 2009 Ontario Public Library Service Awards.
